“…1. The SERS spectra for potentials more negative than 0.6 V are very similar to those obtained by Loo et al; 12 nevertheless, they proposed a trans configuration for TSC adsorbed on a silver electrode from 0.2 to 2.0 V, based on the small shift in the (CS) frequency values with the potential, which coincides with those of metal complexes having TSC in a trans conformation.…”

“…Actually, no new bands appeared during the entire potential scanning. Figure 4 presents an amplification of the bands in the 500-850 cm 1 region of the H C TSC SERS at 0.1 and 0.8 V, together with the TU SERS spectrum at 0.8 V. No bands were observed in the H C TSC spectrum at 0.8 V that were not present in the spectrum at 0.1 V. Comparing the TU spectrum with the H C TSC spectra, coincidence between the bands of the compounds is noted, indicating that bands assigned to adsorbed TU as faradaic product by Loo et al 12 could also be attributed to the H C TSC compound. In order to confirm the SERS results, in situ UV-visible and capillary electrophoresis techniques were used.…”

“…[38] The 1200-1000 cm À1 region contains closely spaced bands of strong intensity due primarily to the coupled oxygen atom stretching motions involving both the ring and the OH group. [32, 33a] The band at~1120 cm…”
