Suprascapular nerve entrapment caused by a large hematoma of the scapula: a case report

Abstract: Background Suprascapular nerve entrapment is a rare disorder that is frequently misdiagnosed as another disease. The suprascapular nerve is commonly entrapped at the following two sites: the suprascapular and spinoglenoid notches. Nerve entrapment at the spinoglenoid notch causes infraspinatus muscle weakness and atrophy. Patients present with posterior shoulder pain and weakness.
