Abstract:Supramolecular eutectogels are an emerging class of materials
consisting
of deep eutectic solvents (DESs) confined in a semisolid 3D network
by polymers or a gelation process. These soft materials have applications
in many areas, due to the dynamic nature of noncovalent interactions
that form the gel network, which makes them stimuli-responsive systems.
Herein, we report the preparation and characterization of hydrophobic
eutectogels, obtained by gelling nonionic type V DESs, as controlled
drug delivery system… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
