“…Des experts indiquent que les représentations négatives de la retraite chez les PADI découlent, d'une part, de la difficulté à concevoir la possibilité de s'engager dans des activités nouvelles et de développer des liens significatifs et, d'autre part, d'occasions limitées de faire des choix autodéterminés dans la planification de cette étape de vie (Bigby, Wilson et al, 2011;McDermott et Edwards, 2012). Ainsi, plusieurs auteurs insistent sur l'importance d'adapter l'offre de services de manière à ce que la transition à la retraite se vive graduellement, de manière respectueuse du rythme et des attentes de chaque PADI (Brotherton, Stancliffe, Wilson et O'Loughlin, 2016;Llewellyn et al, 2004;McDermott et Edwards, 2012;Walsh et LeRoy, 2004b).
