“…Even if such studies were performed, they did not get enough attention in the scientific community. Nevertheless, there are some papers that came close to the problem when analyzing the link between the carbon footprint and education (Ding et al, 2018;Mooney et al, 2022;Shiao et al, 2013;Uchehara et al, 2022), or between the carbon footprint and citizens' awareness of their general and individual contribution to greenhouse gas emissions (Dosa & Russ, 2018;Kolenaty et al, 2022;Scharl et al, 2015;Scharl et al, 2016;Schrills et al, 2021;). When analyzing the main factors affecting the quality of the environment Fakher (2019) studied the connection between carbon footprint and financial development level, while Heinonen et al (2022) found that the indicator measuring the intensity of greenhouse gas emissions to the monetary expenses of the households revealed valuable information about policy targeting demand-side solutions that aim to improve the climate-literacy of consumers and impact their future spending behavior.…”
