Abstract: Background: Canine corneal disease is a common condition encountered in daily practice. If the depth of corneal damage is limited to the epithelial layer, healing is often straightforward; however, if it extends into the epithelial basement membrane or corneal parenchyma, surgical treatment is the treatment of choice.
