Supersymmetry Breaking in M-theory

Abstract

We present a way in which two higher dimensional, spatially separated gauge sectors are combined to form a consistent four dimesnional supergravity. We reconsider the issue of the low energy supersymmetry breaking in the field theory limit of the strongly coupled heterotic string. We derive general observable soft supersymmetry breaking operators for nonstandard perturbative embeddings. We discuss racetrack scenarios in M-Theory.
