Supersonic turbulent boundary layer on a plate. III. Laws of the wall for velocity and temperature
Igor Vigdorovich
Abstract:We develop an asymptotic theory of compressible turbulent boundary layers on a flat plate, in which the mean velocity and temperature profiles can be obtained as exact asymptotic solutions of the boundary-layer and energy equations, which are closed using functional relations of a general form connecting the turbulent shear stress and turbulent enthalpy flux to mean velocity and enthalpy gradients. The laws of the wall for velocity and temperature are constructed in the form of expansions in a small parameter … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
