In this paper, we report on an experiment to monitor the user attention in a serious game called Le Village aux Oiseaux (The Birds' Village). The main motivation of this study stems from the importance of dynamically adapting scenario and challenges to the skills of each player. The solution we developed is a real-time, non-invasive visual attention monitoring method, using an evaluation of the reaction time in an open and continuous space. Our results provide information that can be useful to manage automatically each game session. It can be of benet to game designers as well, allowing them to use this information to improve gameplay, manage the diculty of game environments, and optimize positioning of visual resources on screen.

This paper presents an approach to adapt a playful space and an organizational space in Learning Management Systems to support virtual learning in adults with ADHD. The playful space consists of an adaptive videogame and some computer exercises that attempt to train cognitive areas deficient in people with ADHD, providing at the same time a strategy to motivate students. The organizational space attempts to facilitate students' work by presenting organized folders to remind them of the status of their tasks. These spaces will be automatically adapted according to each student's ADHD symptomatic profile inferred by a user modeling approach. This user modelling considers four user characteristics, which can also be used as variables in different contexts. These variables are: behavioral management, cognitive performance, emotional recognition, and emotional regulation. To infer the ADHD symptomatic profile of students and their emotional alterations, these features are used as input in a set of classification rules. The proposed user model provides the information to adapt the workspace of students with attention problems, specifically adult students with ADHD.

Este trabalho apresenta um Mapeamento Sistemático da Literatura (MSL) sobre o papel da tecnologia no diagnóstico e tratamento do Transtorno do Déficit de Atenção e Hiperatividade (TDAH). Foram identificadas diversas tecnologias, incluindo ressonância magnética, eletroencefalografia (EEG) e realidade virtual, demonstrando eficácia na detecção de padrões de comportamento e intervenções terapêuticas personalizadas. Apesar dos diferentes benefícios identificados, desafios como custo, manutenção e validação dos métodos foram destacados. O estudo aponta para oportunidades futuras na adaptação de intervenções personalizadas e avaliação de longo prazo da eficácia das tecnologias no manejo do TDAH.
