“…Hence SILs could possess both advantages of homogeneous and heterogeneous catalysts, theoretically. To immobilize ILs into supports, both physical methods (such as impregnation method, [58] co-assembly method, [92] sol-gel method, [56] SFD method [54,[93][94] ) and chemical methods (such as covalent grafting method [43] ) were carried out. The physical methods could retain the original properties of ILs but suffered leaching problems.…”

“…Physically modified IL-based adsorbents are commonly synthesized by impregnation method, [49][50][51][52] supercritical fluid deposition (SCFD) method, 53,54 physical stirring method, 55 and so on, 56,57 in which there is Van der Waals force or noncovalent interaction between ILs and supports. 58,59 Physically modified IL-based adsorbents can be divided…”

“…In addition to the impregnation method, other supported IL adsorbents can also be obtained by the SCFD method 54 and other methods. 72 For the SCFD method, since supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO 2 ) has low surface tension and can dissolve ILs by adding little cosolvent to lower the viscosity of IL, the IL loading and dispersion are improved compared to those prepared by the impregnation method with higher CO 2 capacity.…”

“…The supercritical fluid deposition (SCFD) method takes advantage of these properties of CO 2 to dissolve metal ions and deposit them into the nanopores of carriers. Nanocomposites prepared using the SCFD method generally show a more even distribution of metal particles. This leads to the question of whether it is possible to use the SCFD method to deposit ILs into nanopores of supports more uniformly and to prepare SILMs with higher CO 2 /N 2 selectivity. Our previous study demonstrated that SILMs based on [BMIM][BF 4 ] could be prepared using the SCFD method with scCO 2 as the solvent and ethanol as the cosolvent.…”
