Superconducting properties and non-isothermal crystallization kinetics of a Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+δ (Bi2212) superconductor prepared by the Pechini sol–gel method

Abstract: Bi2212 superconductors with crystallization treatments at different temperatures were prepared by the Pechini sol–gel method, and their structural, thermal and transport properties were investigated.

“…25 Several mathematical models of non-isothermal kinetics, such as Avrami, Ozawa, and Mo methods, have been developed to describe the crystallization kinetics. 26–29 These models also fit well with experimental data in the study of apparent kinetic parameters of crosslinking reactions of EVA with a VA content of 18 wt%. 30 In the above-mentioned work, only EVA with low VA content (<28 wt%) was studied.…”

“…This technology can create high-quality identical nanoparticles in commercial quantities due to their unique traits and properties [61][62][63][64][65]. Functional materials like photocatalysts [66][67][68][69][70][71], ferroelectrics [72][73][74][75][76][77][78][79], nonlinear optical materials [80][81][82][83][84], and superconductors [85][86][87][88][89][90][91][92][93] can be made using the sol-gel process. Therefore, significant contribution is continuing throughout the world still today.…”

“…Meanwhile, assuming that a sol-gel method is performed under a low temperature and a short time of conditions, Bi-based cuprate superconductors with high crystallinity can be synthesized based on some characteristics of precursors, such as high chemical activity, dispersion distribution, short diffusion distance, and easy phase formation. In particular, by means of the Pechini sol-gel method, the sol system can be further optimized and the stability of the sol is also significantly improved, which contributes undoubtedly to acquire high-performance superconductors [19][20][21]. Therefore, to some extent, the studies on the decomposition process and phase formation mechanism of precursors are conducive to understand the nature of the reaction and guide the subsequent heat treatment process clearly.…”
