Abstract: RESUMOA dormência nas sementes é um fenômeno que provém da adaptação das espécies às condições ambientais. Em sementes de forrageiras esse fenômeno está especialmente presente. Encontrar formas de superar essa dormência, otimizar a germinação de sementes e aprimorar o estabelecimento dos pastos tem sido cada vez mais um desafio para os pesquisadores.
