34S isotope effects on 31P chemical shifts in thiophosphate esters

Abstract: The 34S isotope effect on 31P chemical shifts was measured for 15 different alkyl thiophosphates. For the doubly bonded S a linear relationship exists between the magnitude of the isotope effect and the "P chemical shift. For the singly bonded S no such correlation was found.
