31P and 13C NMR study of tribenzolyphosphine (CC6H5)3 Oriented in a Liquid Crystal

Abstract: The 13C and "P NMR spectra of the triply 13C labelled tribenzoylphosphine [P-(C-C,H,),] oriented in a II 0 nematic phase have been recorded. From the spectral analysis one obtains the average CPC valence bond angle value (95.9 "*0.2), and the phosphorus chemical shift anisotropy A a ( q -U J which is equal to 75+ 15 ppm.
