Abstract

Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a particularly common complication in the intensive care setting, and often requires the use of renal replacement therapy. Before implementation of dialysis unit in Burundi the mortality rate of patients with AKI in Intensive Care Unit of Kamenge University hospital was 45.2%. Since 2014 dialysis treatment was initiated.
