Sulphide-Magnetite Ores of Folded Areas as Possible Analogues of Current Oceanic Sulphide Formatios

Abstract: Based on analysis of tectonic position and mineralization environments, features of magmatism, ore composition and resources, the author discusses the similarities and differences between sulphide-magnetite and pyrites-polymetallic deposits in the continents and current sulphide ores in the oceans. Both derived from deep magmatic source of ore matter during the Earth's crust extension period.
