Sulfate carryover in direct distillation of fluoride. Comments

Abstract

In the July 1975 issue of Environmental Science and Technology, there appeared a note by Devine and Partington (1) reporting carryover of sulfate in the direct distillation of fluoride samples of 95-1300 mgA. as SO42-. In synthetic samples containing known amounts of fluoride and sulfate, fluoride values as much as four times the true concentration were observed.
