Abstract: Carbon nanotubes have been used as scaffolds for tissue engineering. However, the identification of these nanomaterials disperses in biological solutions and their direct interaction with nerve cells is still controversial. “…One of the relevant findings has been the non-homogeneous deposits obtained with water-based solutions. Although the use of water solutions with PVP has been extensively reported as dispersant solutions for CNTs [37,42,43,44], we obtained deposits in which the attached material was found scattered over the fiber tip and partially covering the surface of the fiber tip as seen in Figure 2.
