Suggestions for Exercise Science’s Promotion to a Top-Tier Journal in the Category of Sports Science

Abstract

Why do authors in Korea publish articles in English, although it is possible to write in Korean? As a journal, Exercise Science aims "to scien-tifically show the scientific and clinical value of exercise in health and disease control." Therefore, if articles are written in English, readers throughout the world can benefit from reading the content more easily.Its scope includes "physiology, biochemistry, nutrition, metabolism, genetics, immunology, medicine, rehabilitation, growth and development, training, anthropometry, and epidemiology related sport, physical activity, and exercise." Therefore, the authors publish basic research and clinical studies. Exercise Science remains a local journal from the standpoint of the authors' country, although the journal has been indexed in Scopus. The trend for more English articles will continue.
