Successful Treatment with Intralesional Meglumine Antimoniate in Recurrent Cutaneous Leishmaniasis: Case Report

Abstract: A case of a pediatric patient with a recurrent single lesion, four months after finishing treatment for seven lesions of cutaneous leishmaniasis with intramuscular meglumine antimoniate. Once the recurrence was confirmed by direct visualization of amastigotes, the decision taken was to repeat treatment with 1 cc of intralesional meglumine antimoniate, with a uniform distribution inside the lesion and one week interval between each application.
