“…However, according to Sobel and al, caspofungin may have a role in treating complicated Candida urinary tract infections, especially when the infection is caused by non‐ albicans Candida species. Furthermore, several reports of chronic UTI caused by either C. albicans or C. glabrata, were treated successfully with echinocandins . In our case, the clearance of C. utilis from the urine, being demonstrated by subsequent urine cultures negativity, can be explained both by the removal of the ureteral stent and the antifungal therapy with micafungin.…”
