“…18 EGFR mutations are more common in Asian, female, and older (nonpediatric) patients, and no patients in our review were EGFR-mutation-positive. 33 When we consider the 24 cases reported after 2007 (the year the association between ALK rearrangement and NSCLC was first described), we found two cases were ALK-positive and one was ROS-positive. 65 These mutations are now targetabledrugs including crizotinib, ceritinib, and 57 17 M 0 Surgery Disease free (3 mo) Granata 1998 58 11 M 0 Surgery Disease free (18 mo) Ohye 1998 59 6 M IVA Surgery Disease free (7 y) Ohye 1998 59 15 F 0 Surgery Disease free (4 y) Kaslovsky 1997 60 11 F IVA Surgery Disease free Dosanjh 1992 61 15 F IVA Nil Lost to follow-up Sheffield 1987 62 6 mo M -Surgery Not stated Sheffield 1987 62 3 F -Surgery Not stated Sheffield 1987 62 18 M -Surgery Not stated Brody 1976 63 15 M 0 Surgery Disease free (2 mo) Gardner 1972 64 17 M IVB Nil Died from disease (autopsy diagnosis)…”

“…A BPF after segmental or pulmonary lobar resection can be treated using tube drainage alone, and small fistulas may be treated by transbronchial injection or with fibrin adhesives. [2][3][4][5] Surgery is required for large fistulas or cases with pyothorax, and open treatment and purging of pyothorax after plombage is performed in cases with poor infection control. 6) Open emergency treatment is safe, but places a heavy burden on the patient and medical staff.…”
