Successful medical writing: tips for budding researchers

Abstract

<p>After completion of good quality research, every worker tries his best for publication of good work. A researcher or author should choose the journal carefully, where he wants his work to get published. While writing, the researcher must read and follow the guidelines for authors of particular journal with utmost care. Basic structure of research publication is more or less standardized goes by the acronym of IMRAD, which stands for Introduction, Methods, Results and Discussion. The title of the article must be catchy to attract the reader. The summary of the article is presented in the form of the abstract.Author must check that the list of references is complete, relevant and chronologically arranged in the text. There are definite reasons for scientific paper getting rejected for publication. Improper methodology, small sample size, incorrect statistical analysis, discrepancy in observations and conclusions are other causes for non acceptance of paper. The author must try to find out the reason for non acceptance of his paper. Efforts must be made to improve the quality of writing.</p
