Successful laparoscopic treatment of a rare case of omental pregnancy

Abstract: A 26-year-old woman at 7 weeks and 4 days of gestation presented with atypical vaginal bleeding and mild abdominal pain. Transvaginal ultrasound revealed a free hypoechoic area of 10 mm in the pouch of Douglas and a 13-mm thick homogenous endometrium with no evidence of a gestational sac. A mass (46 × 38 mm) was detected outside of the uterine fundus.
