Subthreshold micropulse laser light in diabetic macular edema (literature review)

Abstract:The authors present a review on analyzing techniques for the treatment of diabetic macular edema. Subthreshold micro-pulse laser light is an effective and safe technique for managing diabetic macular edema which can be prescribed repeatedly. The effectiveness of subthreshold micro-pulse laser light is increased in combination with pharmacological therapy which includes inhibitors of the vascular endothelial growth (VEGF) factor.
