“…3, it is worth to bear in mind that the Urbach tail energy is closely related to the disorder in the film network. One can see that a minimum Urbach energy was reached at 350°C, which means the adequate temperature for less disorder, which may be attributed to the similar ionic radius between O 2-and Zn 2+ , as it was expressed in the literatures [23][24][25][26]. The I-V characteristic of ZnO thin film is shown in Fig.…”

“…ZnS films have been deposited by a large variety of techniques such as spray pyrolysis, rf magnetron sputtering, molecular beam epitaxy (MBE), sol-gel, and chemical bath deposition (CBD) [4,5]. Among these methods, spray pyrolysis is well suited for the preparation of these films because of its simple and inexpensive experimental arrangement, vacuumless, ease of adding various doping materials, high growth rate, and mass deposition capability for homogeneous large area coatings, which are desirable for industrial and photovoltaic solar cell applications [6,7].…”

“…At higher temperature the films became near stoichiometric ZnS material. For the S/Zn ration is fixed at 1 because, according to the literature [16] which is reported that the variation of [O/Zn] and [S/Zn] ratios as a function of substrate temperature, slowly increased with substrate temperature elevation and we observed that the films deposited at ratio between 0.7 and 1.2 have an amorphous structure except those filed ratio equal to 1 their cristallinity is improved. The deposition time and the spray rate were fixed at 60 min and 2ml min−1, respectively.…”

“…Depending on the preparation method, zinc sulfide exists in both cubic (β) and/or hexagonal (α) structures the deposit crystallizes and the cubic β phase dominates the α one. Cubic ZnS thin films have been reported previously by some workers [15] and hexagonal ones by W.Daranfed [16].…”
