Substantiation of the ways to use lignite concerning the integrated development of lignite deposits of Ukraine

Abstract: Purpose. To substantiate the ways of the integrated lignite use as well as its derivatives by power, metallurgical, chemical, and construction industries of Ukraine to support the competitiveness of the country market. methodology. The following research techniques were applied to solve the problems: mathematical modeling method was used to determine volumes of lignite extraction and to identify the intensity of inflows to opening mine workings while forming the operating area of an open pit; the method of gra… Show more

“…At the same time, the maximum productivity for ore also determines the maximum or close to maximum productivity for the rock mass, which leads to an increase in the cost of developing the deposit. Thus, an increase in the productivity of a open-pit for a mineral is accompanied by an increase not only in income, but also in costs [18,19].…”

“…A preliminary study of physical and mechanical characteristics of the sand mining surface ledge [16], as well as sand intermediate overburden ledges [17], shows that in terms of granulometric composition, this granular material category may be processed to obtain additional significant volumes of commodity products that comply with current standards for foundry sands [18]. Therefore, the rational parameters of the complex for mining and processing substandard sands in the conditions of Gusarovsky MPP is an important and relevant scientific and technical task.…”
