Substantiating arched support made of composite materials (carbon fiber-reinforced plastic) for mine workings in coal mines

Abstract: This paper studies a new composite materials based on carbon fiber-reinforced plastic, which is planned to be used for supporting the preparatory workings when mining the coal at depths of more than 1000 meters. The composite material made of carbon fiber-reinforced plastic has sufficient lt high physical-mechanical properties, which are even higher than that of low-alloy steel used as the main material for supporting in coal mines.
