Subsolidus phase relation in the Bi 2 O 3 —Fe 2 O 3 —La 2 O 3 system

Abstract: Bismuth-containing semiconductor material is a hot topic in photocatalysts because of its effective absorption under the visible light. In this paper, we expect to explore a new bismuth-based photocatalyst by studying the subsolidus phase relations of the Bi 2 O 3 -Fe 2 O 3 -La 2 O 3 system. The X-ray diffraction data shows that in this ternary system the ternary compound does not exist, while seven binary compounds (including one solid solution series Bi 1−x La x O 1.5 with 0.167 ≤ x ≤ 0.339) are obtained and… Show more

“…Sr 4 CaSmTi 3 Nb 7 O 30 Ceramics were prepared by a standard solid-state reaction method. [18] The weighed raw materials were ground for 8 h and calcinated in high-purity alumina crucible at 1100 • C in air for 3 h, followed by a second grinding to reach a homogeneous granulometric distribution. The reground powder was pressed into cylindrical disks of 12 mm in diameter and 1 mm in thickness under a pressure of 30 MPa.…”
