Subperiosteal hemorrhage: A rare complication in neurofibromatosis which may mimic malignant peripheral nerve sheath tumor

Abstract: Currently, there is little in the medical literature on subperiosteal hematomas in neurofibromatosis patients, particularly in those who have subperiosteal neurofibromas. Initial imaging and clinical presentation can be very worrisome and to the unaware may lead to early surgical intervention and/or anxiety in the patient and parents.
