Subcutaneous Panniculitis-Like T-Cell Lymphoma of the Breast

Abstract: Subcutaneous panniculitis-like T-cell lymphoma (SPTCL) is a rare subtype of cutaneous lymphoma. There have been a few case reports describing the radiologic imaging findings of SPTCL. We report a case of SPTCL, rarely presented with a breast mass. Here, we review her clinical history and radiologic (mammography and ultrasound) findings.

“…The lack of high blood flow in Doppler mode noted in our patient is consistent with the literature; only half of cutaneous lymphoma Doppler images show profuse intralesional vascularity . In addition, cases of panniculitis‐like T‐cell lymphoma and extranodal natural killer cell/T‐cell lymphoma have produced images that resemble cutaneous panniculitis …”

B-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma arising from B-cell precursors is a rare hematologic neoplasm that can manifest as a nodule on the head and neck,[12][13][14] primarily or as part of systemic disease.…”

“…Patients with SPTCL typically present with one or more usually painless nodules or poorly circumscribed indurated plaques most commonly located on the trunk or lower extremities (5758). Initial diagnosis of SPTCL is often delayed because inflammatory or infectious processes may be suspected both clinically and on imaging.…”
