Na dose estudada, bupivacaína (12,5 mg) associada à morfina (100 µg), a extensão do bloqueio sensitivo aos 20 e 120 minutos não mostrou diferença entre os grupos, sugerindo que a gestação aumenta mais a dispersão da bupivacaína isobárica que da hiperbárica, o que torna o comportamento das duas soluções semelhantes quando injetadas em decú-bito lateral 8, 15,16 .
