SU(3)⊗U(1) model for electroweak interactions

Abstract: We consider a gauge model based on a SU(3)@U(1) symmetry in which the lepton number is violated explicitly by charged scalar and gauge bosons, including a vector field with double electric charge. PACS number(s): 12.15.Cc, 14.80.-j

“…Assim, parece que esse valor está abaixo de 1/4. Se essa não for uma coincidência, indica a existência de uma simetria eletrofraca SU (3), por exemplo, como a proposta no IFT/UNESP alguns anos atrás [103].…”

“…͑15͒ and the LЈ symmetry the mass matrix in the charged lepton sector, as we said before, is now a general one. Hence the left-handed mixing matrix U L l can be written in terms of three angles (c,s) 12 ,(c,s) 23 ,(c,s) 13 . In this case assuming that s 12 ӷs 23 ӷs 13 the mixing matrix U L l is a hierarchical one similar to the mixing matrix in the quark sector and the charged lepton mass matrix is almost diagonal.…”

“…Because of the two important features that the number of family is related by anomaly cancellation to the number of colors, and the third family is treated differently from the first and second families the 3-3-1 model has received much attentions [15]- [23]. With experimental establishment of the neutrino oscillations a number of paper has been published to discuss the neutrino masses and mixing patterns in the model [16].…”

“…Here we would like to extend the above application to models based on the local gauge group SU (3) c ⊗ SU (3) L ⊗ U (1) X (hereafter 3-3-1 model) with a corresponding enlargement of fermion representations [15]. Because of the two important features that the number of family is related by anomaly cancellation to the number of colors, and the third family is treated differently from the first and second families the 3-3-1 model has received much attentions [15]- [23].…”
