“…Our analysis aims to clarify the physical origin of the thermal noise in SOI-WPDs and the properties of the generated noise signals. Although the impact of thermal radiation is low in the laboratory conditions of the SOI wavelength band, this study is relevant as the environmental and temperature conditions worsen in real applications, when the intensity of the input signal decreases to the minimum, as in quantum devices, or when other wavelength ranges are explored, such as midrange infrared for sensing applications. , We believe that our analysis also provides a clearer picture of known configurations of WPDs and recent reports of the enhancement of the SNR in receiving antenna arrays .
