Studying the layer structure formation in laser additive manufacturing with AlMg6 alloy wire

Abstract: When processing aluminum alloys with repeated laser radiation, which is typical for both multi-pass welding and additive manufacturing, volatile chemical components are being burnt. Due to the processing zone overheating if there are residual stresses, the probability of there being structural defects and deformations and, consequently, distortion of the final shape of the sample increases.
