Study the Effect of Texture Extending Direction in Inpainting Missing Areas of Digital Images Using Modified Isotropic Model

Abstract

The modified isotropic model was used to recover the missing regions of the colored stripes image, and two models (the isotropic model and the modified isotropic model) were applied to them. Comparing the results obtained from the two models show that the modified model achieved better results than the results of the old model. A study was also conducted on the effect of the texture direction in the missing area on the success of the modified model. Use a number of image quality measures, including MSE, PSNR, and SSIM.
