Study on Virtual Evaluation of Far Side Occupant Protection Based on CNCAP

Abstract

Virtual evaluation technology can cover more crash test scenarios and reproduce real traffic accidents. With the progress of CAE technology, virtual evaluation technology begins to focus on the reliability and robustness of evaluation process and verification process. ENCAP and CNCAP plan to introduce virtual evaluation content into Far side occupant protection, which provides conditions for the implementation of Far side occupant protection virtual evaluation. Firstly, the paper determines the key factors affecting Far side occupant protection, and analyzes the characteristics of each factor by using the single factor analysis method, and further uses the orthogonal test and range analysis method to analyze the impact condition, impact angle, dummy type and seat adjustment. Finally, the virtual evaluation suggestions are given.
