Study on the variation of rock pore structure after polymer gel flooding

Abstract: AbstractPolymer gels have received an increasing attention as profile control agents in the heterogeneous reservoir water-flooded layers. The article focus on the profile control mechanism of polymer gels by plugging macropore. The micro-structures of polymer gel and pore were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). And the core displacement equipment was used to evaluate the properties of plugging properties. The variation of pore structure is measured by SEM, mer… Show more

“…In a landslide monitoring operation, Zhang, D. and others fused high-precision laser scanning point cloud and slope radar results for data fusion. Although there is no detailed description of how to obtain higher interference phase quality, the most critical area is localization relative to work activities, and the displacement detected by GB in SAR is visualized in three dimensions by merging with the three-dimensional model [8].…”

“…The prepared hydrogel base solution was injected into an ampule under atmospheric pressure and temperature, and the sealed ampule was placed in a constant temperature water bath at 50−90 °C to fully react, and the hydrogel gelation time and degradation time were measured by the gel strength code (GSC) method, which was used to measure the hydrogel formation time and degradation time. 19 In this study, the time for the hydrogel to reach grade E is defined as the gelation time, while the time for the hydrogel to reach grade C is defined as the degradation time.…”

“…The implementation of Alkaline/Surfactant/Polymer (ASP) flooding is aimed at simultaneously increasing the swept volume and improving the efficiency of oil washing. However, the combined impact of chemical interactions, on-site management difficulties, and the associated high expenses present obstacles to the advancement of ASP flooding beyond polymer flooding [9,10]. As a result, the exploration of a multifunctional single agent emerges as a promising avenue for enhancing oil recovery following polymer flooding.…”
