Study on the strength characteristics of High strength concrete with Micro steel fibers

Abstract: Abstract. The study of High Strength Concrete (HSC) has become interesting as concrete structures grow taller and larger. The usage of HSC in structures has been increased worldwide and has begun to make an impact in India. Ordinary cementitious materials are weak under tensile loads and fiber reinforced cementitious composites (FRCCs) have been developed to improve this weak point. High Strength concrete containing Alccofine as mineral admixture and reinforced with micro steel fibers were cast and tested to s… Show more

“…High-strength concrete mix is usually made with low w/c, in the range of 0.40 or lower. In order to make concrete with low w/c and acceptable workability, supplementary materials such as superplasticizer and pozzolan are required in the mix [20]. As with conventional, normal-strength concrete, beams of high-strength concrete are still subjected to bending moment and shear [21]- [24].…”

“…(Candra, 2020) As the demand for concrete increases, it is required to have a mix of concrete that is environmentally friendly and has economic value so that it can contribute to reducing increasing global warming. (Gowdham et al, 2017) This study aims to determine how the influence of asbestos waste on the compressive strength to reduce cement. (Cahyo, 2020) role of aggregates in concrete is significant.…”
