Study on the Restoration of Ecological Environments in Mining Area Based on GIS Technology

Abstract: Taking Erdaojiang and Dongchang District of Tonghua City, Jilin Province as examples, this paper studies the ecological environment restoration and governance model of their mining areas. In this paper, the vegetation cover (NDVI) data in the past ten years were selected from the study area. The Theil–Sen median and Mann–Kendall (MK) methods were used to analyze the time series of NDVI, and the vegetation cover change trend map of the study area was obtained. Then, the land use data of the study area for 4 yea… Show more

“…The Theil-Sen Median trend analysis method, also known as slope estimation, is a robust non-parametric statistical approach used for trend calculation (Qi et al, 2023). This method is particularly resistant to measurement errors and outliers, making it suitable for analyzing trends in long time series data.…”

“…Sen's slope (Sen-Mk slope) is a statistical method used to estimate the trend or rate of change in a dataset over time. It is a nonparametric method that is robust against outliers and does not assume any specific distribution for the data [53,54].…”
