Study on the Environmental Education for School Children

Abstract

ABSTRACT;Effect of environmental education to school children in Fukuoka city on their awareness was studied. Where environmental issue is being actively educated, they strictly evaluate their own living environment compared with other places. School children show interest on worsening issues rather than good environment .News letter for school children on environment was founded to be an effective material for education . Letters from "readers" could provide information on their awareness . It was also found that children were more effectively educated through the discussion of the result of their own evaluation about their living environment.
