Study on the characteristics of an Er/Yb co-doped double cladding fiber laser

Abstract: An Er/Yb co-doped double cladding fiber laser pumped at 980 nm was optimized. The double-cladding fiber laser with whole fiber was obtained by end-pumping and utilizing fiber bragg grating as a resonator. The output power of laser was analyzed along the changes of output grating reflectance (L=10m) as well as the fiber length (R 2 =4%).
