Study on static softening behavior and hot working performance of Fe-0.2C-7Mn steel

Abstract: Static softening behavior and hot working performance of medium Mn steel (Fe-0.2C-7Mn) are studied by 2-step and interrupt hot compression test with a Gleeble-3500 thermal-mechanical simulator. The results show that static softening behavior of the steel exhibits obvious sensitivity to the deformation temperature, inter-pass time and strain rate.
