With the background of increasing n e e d s f o r analysis on environmental i n f o r m a t i o n i n r e c e n t y e a r s , w e a t t e m p t e d t o s t u d y t h e C I S e x p l o i t a b l e f o r analysis on o c e a n i c environment i n f o r m a t i o n which i s considered t o e x h i b i t higher e f f e c t s of s y s t e m a t i z a t i o n . In s t a r t i n g t h e s t u d y , w e grasp t h e f u n c t i o n s r e q u i r e d f o r t h e analysis of o c e a n i c environment i n f o r m a t i o n by c o n d u c t i n g q u e s t i o n n a i r e investigation t o r e l a t e d t e c h n i c a l e x p e r t s a n d analyzing t h e past examples. Basing on t h e s e r e s u l t s , w e discussed t h e processing f u n c t i o n r e q u i r e d f o r t h e s y s t e m a n d s t r u c t u r e of d a t a b a s e , a n d designed t h e s y s t e m c o n f i g u r a t i o n . Also, w e c o n s t r u c t e d a p a r t of t h e system f u n c t i o n s a s a pilot system, a n d c o n f i r m e d t h e applicability a n d e f f i c i e n c y .
