“…Hence, an alternative strategy of integrating Ln 3+ into CPs through the chemical modification is developed . Since Zn-MOFs composed of Zn and polycarboxylate ligands usually contain large cavities and provide a platform for postmodification, separation, or sensing, they are good hosts for the integration of Ln 3+ ions. , …”

“…As shown in Figure d, the calculated values of R of serial MOF- 1 : x Eu 3+ crystal fall into the range of 3.42–3.89. Compared with some other Eu 3+ containing inorganic or MOFs compounds, the R values of MOF- 1 : x Eu 3+ crystals are similar to that of LBSO:35% Eu 3+ , indicating that the local symmetry of the Eu 3+ site breaks from an ideal one with inversion symmetry at a relatively large degree like that of the latter. , However, the R value of MOF- 1 : x Eu 3+ crystal is nearly independent of the substitution ratio of Eu 3+ ion, revealing that the introduction of Eu 3+ into MOF- 1 hardly changes the local symmetry of lattice site where the rare earth ions occupy, which is consistent with the result derived from phase analysis at the beginning of this section.…”

“…As a comparison, Ln@bio-MOF-1 samples show certain differences in the diffraction patterns, which might be caused by the replacement of Zn ions by Ln ions. 15–18…”
