Study on Parameters of Grouting Reinforced Circle for Water-Rich and Soft Fault Fracture Zone in Tunnel

Abstract: Water-rich and soft fault fracture zone is the geologic disaster source of water and mud outbursts in tunnel while the curtain grouting is an effective management method. To determine appropriate parameters of the grouting reinforced circle, depending on fluid-solid coupling theory and numerical simulation of the seepage fieldstress field, the influence of parameters to the water inflow and stability is analyzed while grouting effect was evaluated from the two aspects of reinforcement and water plugging. The c… Show more

“…Yang et al involved theoretical analysis and experimental methods to investigate the rheological equations of power-law fluids, Bingham fluids, and Newtonian fluids [12][13][14], leading to the derivation of theoretical formulas for grouting diffusion under these three flow states. Similarly, many studies [15,16] have proposed formulas for calculating the grouting diffusion radius of Bingham fluids based on rheological and constitutive equations and examined the influencing factors for this radius. A 2D cylindrical permeation grouting diffusion model has been developed [10], considering the non-uniform distribution of the grout's viscosity and validating the consistency between the experimental results and the theoretical model.…”

“…Bad geological bodies such as lava and faults will have many adverse effects on the construction during the tunneling process. Grouting into the faults can increase the integrity of the rock mass and ensure safe and efficient construction [5][6][7]. Landfill of municipal solid waste [8,9] requires grouting and antiseepage treatment in the buried pits that have been dug in advance to avoid water and soil pollution caused by toxic gas and liquid penetration.…”
