Study on parameters characteristics of DDGM(1,1) prediction model with multiplication transformation

Abstract: Purpose The purpose of this paper is to reveal the changing role of the parameters of the DDGM(1,1) model after multiple transformations in the modeling sequence. Design/methodology/approach This paper considers DDGM(1,1) model as the research object, adopts the parameter packet technique to analyze the influence of multiple transformations on the modeling accuracy of this model and discusses the quantitative relation of model parameters as multiple transformations in system’s characteristic sequences. “…Due to the practical needs, new research results are emerging continuously. Various new models have been proposed in recent years, such as discrete grey model (DGM, Xie and Liu, 2005); direct discrete grey model (Zeng and Liu, 2011;Cui and Ma, 2018); original difference grey model (ODGM) and even difference grey model (EDGM) (Liu et al, 2015); fractional order grey model; self-memory grey model (Guo et al, 2015). In 2018, Thomas Paul Talafuse and Edward A. Pohl tried to handle system-level testing constrained by small sample sizes by a modified GM(1,1) model.…”
