Study on Launch Dynamics of Self-Propelled Artillery Based on Transfer Matrix Method of Multibody System

Abstract: Due to the importance of increasing the firing precision of self-propelled artillery system corresponding to the projectile impact point, the launch dynamics of self-propelled artillery based on the transfer matrix method for multibody system (MSTMM) is studied in this paper. By using MSTMM to study launch dynamics of self-propelled artillery, there is no need of global dynamical equation of the system, the order of the system matrix is low, the computational speed is high, and it meets the requirements of dyn… Show more

“…Based on the previous studies [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]13 , regarding the projectile as a rigid body, the elastic effect of projectile-barrel interaction modeled as the elastic contact forces between barrel and bourrelet, and between the barrel and the bearing band.…”

“…Especially, the orthogonality conditions of the system are obtained by constructing the augmented eigenvector and augmented operator, realizing the exact analysis of the dynamics response of MS (Rui et al, 2003). This method has been applied in the fields of the multiple launch rocket system (MLRS) (Tang et al, 2016), tanks (Lui et al, 2016), self-propelled guns (Yu and Rui, 2014), and missile launch vehicles (Wang et al, 2018) and so on.…”

“…The sensitivity analysis model for the flexible multibody system dynamics was built by the random variation method. On the other hand, Yu Hailong and Xiaoting Rui [13] generate a new theory for studying the multi-body system dynamics represents artillery weapon system. They developed field transfer matrix of an arbitrary rigid body vibrating in the linear range and the transfer matrix method of multi-body system dynamics.…”
