Study on jet forming characteristics of shaped charge with truncated-liner structure

Abstract: In order to verify the jet forming characteristics of the shaped charge with a truncated-liner, numerical simulation and X-ray experimental research were carried out. The behavior of the truncated-liner and the top velocity, diameter and morphology of the jet were obtained, and the outcomes were compared with the characteristics of the jet formed by the traditional shaped charge.
