In this study, we examined the form of common space management before and after the earthquake in rural villages in the local reconstruction area of the coastal area of Sendai City. And we clarified how collaborative space management is inherited by the local community. The results showed that common space management has been inherited, but that the local community responsible for management is weakening, and that common space management for the purpose of interaction is gaining ground.
